Thomas A. Auer
...is the owner of Auer Real Estate and Auer Real Estate Development, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He brings over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate brokerage and development.
A native of Michigan, Thomas also lived in Pembroke Pines, Florida, before relocating to Charlotte in 1987. His career has consistently focused on sales and investment.
Prior to founding his own firm, Thomas held positions with several Charlotte-area real estate brokerage and development companies beginning in the late 1990s.
Throughout his career, Thomas has been involved in a wide range of real estate transactions, including leasing, sales, investment sales, retail development, tenant representation, landlord representation, and site acquisitions for both local and national companies.
Outside of his professional work, Thomas enjoys mountain biking, classic cars, model building, and sports collectibles.
His primary goal is to build long-term relationships with clients, particularly property owners, ensuring that every decision is thoughtfully planned and effectively executed.

Robert Salmon
...is a Charlotte-based commercial real estate advisor who helps business owners, investors, and developers make strategic decisions when buying and selling commercial property.
A Charlotte native, Robert attended Charlotte Country Day School before earning his business degree from Auburn University and later completing his MBA. His background in finance, strategy, and leadership shapes a disciplined, analytical approach to every transaction.
Before fully transitioning into commercial real estate, Robert owned and operated George Brown Associates from 2016 to 2024, ultimately leading the company through a successful sale. That experience—building, scaling, and exiting a multimillion-dollar business—gives him a unique perspective when advising clients. He understands firsthand how real estate decisions impact cash flow, risk, and long-term enterprise value.
Robert joined Matthews Executive Group in 2020 and went on to serve as President in 2022, demonstrating his commitment to leadership and the local business community. He remains actively involved in professional networking and relationship-driven growth initiatives.
Today, Robert advises clients who view real estate as more than just a transaction. He takes a strategic, analytical approach to each opportunity—evaluating risk, return, and long-term value. His expertise lies in helping businesses make profitable real estate decisions.
